Dear Commenter:
Thank you for taking the time to provide us your comments on the draft Supplemental Environmental Assessment (SEA) for Routine Training at Makua Military Reservation and Private First Class (PFC) Pilila'au Range Complex. In an effort to keep everyone who provided comments fully informed of the full range of issues and concerns raised during the SEA public comment period, we have consolidated and grouped all comments received into a comment and response summary document. This summary document is enclosed for your information. In preparing the responses to the comments, we carefully reviewed and considered each comment and, where appropriate, made revisions to the SEA. All letters and other forms of comments received from the public will be included in the final SEA as an appendix, as will the enclosed comment and response summary.
The final SEA will be completed shortly and copies will be available for public review at the Waianae Public Library, the Pearl City Regional Library, and the Hawaii State Library. Additional information on the final SEA and public review period will be published in the Honolulu Advertizer and Honolulu Star Bulletin, as well as the State Office of Environmental Quality Control newsletter, The Environmental Notice.
Again, thank you for your comments. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my National Environmental Policy Act Coordinator, Mr. Peter Yuh, Jr., at 656-2878 extension 1051.

Sincerely

William R. Puttmann, Jr.
Colonel, U.S. Army
Commanding Officer
